Someshwara temple_Kolar

This fourteenth century Someshwara temple is the contribution of the Vijaynagar kings to Kolar, and is typical to  Vijaynagar. A huge  complex, it also has  a smaller temple dedicated to Goddess Durga.

Beautifully crafted Pillars in the mandap reminds of the temples at Hampi.
